ORGANIZATIONAL UNITS
Creating & editing org structure
-
There are two reasons to create an organizational structure in Agile Tools: every employee is usually in one org unit, and second, you have to have an org unit defined if you want to create goals for them
-
There are several build-in org unit types (branch, department, division, etc.), but you can define your own
-
Each org unit optionally has a head (manager)
-
Each org unit optionally has several Value Units associated/owned
-
Multilevel structure supported
VALUE UNITS
Creating & editing Value Units
-
Value Unit is an umbrella term for products, projects, services, etc.
-
You define them (in any hierarchy), if you want to be more progressive, to create OKRs for them
-
Each Value Unit optionally has one or more teams associated
-
Each Value Unit optionally has one or more Organizational Units associated
-
You can define your own Value Unit types in the Settings
-

(CROSS-FUNCTIONAL) TEAMS
Creating & editing teams
-
Team is a first-class concept. It does not equate to a group of people from the same department
-
Each team has a name, one to 12 members, a team lead, and a list of Value Units - products they build, projects they run, services they offer, or similar.
Observing cross-functionality
-
A team detail view reveals the job positions team members have
-
You can quickly navigate to the team's current OKR
